Art/Crafts Meetup Log #5
Today there was a block party that my sis and her bf helped out with sign-ins for. I helped a bit too when I showed up and just got free food basically. The sign in sheet was only emails and not organized alphabetically so it was kind of a hassle locating people. It was fine tho I noticed I'm reeaaaallly bad at giving off the whole welcoming and prompting air. The space of when someone is coming up to the table but the first thing hasn't been said... my sis and her bf are much better at it than me. I don't like talking to people first so I generate all sorts of awkward situations like that.
Art meetup was fine, like maybe 8 people. I didn't get much done because one of the people had started playing Animal Crossing New Horizons and wanted to visit friend islands. And well during that she actually she/her'd me but I didn't correct her blleeergh I need to get better about this but bleh.
Multiple Names Guy asked if I was comin to the board game meetup tomorrow and I was like no bc ive done two social things today. I can't spend my whole weekend socializing that seems like death actually. Also the main person who I wanted to watch play's dad got injured and she has to care for him and won't be around for a few weeks. AND these things happen in the morning and I'm a late sleeper. There's too much inertia here.
I didn't really talk a lot bc I was animal crossing so oh well. Bad at listening while also playing game sooo osmosis low. The coordinator who talked to me about sea slugs was there. He was making some cast of his head or something so it was pretty funny since he basically had his head in a plastic bag and was putting tape around it. There was a nice older lady who was literally making shoes that looked very nice (like converse style). I forgot her name though uh-oh I hope I can remember to ask next time... tho I think next time is going to be in the morning so :{
had more problem with inking my animal crossing piece since I was mostly thinking of matching the shades instead of lighting, ig. Though I typically forget to plan for lighting anyway. But the needing like darker gradient with slightly lighter blues in the circles and stuff I didn't do so well. Maybe I should have started with just using the darker shade and inking a bit and immediately following it with water and just trusting the blue in the water to make that lighter shade later. humbug. I'll probably work on it more next time.
anyway... picked up some stuff from CVS and then had to wait 30 mins for the train bc I just missed the last one rip
