Books
My Storygraph Account
I don't rate anything under a 4 because I don't want to drag down the ratings of most books I read (picked specifically to broaden my horizons in diversity, etc.).
My attitude towards books is that I read to learn. I do not primarily read text for pleasure as it takes too much time and energy, so I get annoyed if it isn't good and I didn't even learn anything new from it other than that it definitively sucked. If I ever rate something under a 4 it means I made a mistake of finishing it and I'm seething about it.
Comics
Comics, on the other hand, I read for pleasure. By default, my search is limited to having "romance" as a required tag. This is because when I was in elementary~high school I would spend 4+ hours every single day just catching up with manga of all genres on the updates page and I cannot afford to sink that much time nowadays. So I seek to maximize pleasure by turning my brain off = romance.
Comics that bring me joy are marked with 🐒 because its appeal is primarily in my monkey brain. Sometimes that's a good thing and other times it's totally undeserved but makes my gears spin anyway.

- You're My Polar Opposite [manga] (Taira is real social anxiety rep I respect.)
Not Romance (wow)
- Ichi the Witch [manga] (ROTATING DESSCARAS IN MY MIND!!!!!)
- Kagurabachi [manga] (TBH I'm kinda too dumb to follow all of this with the 5 million characters but we ride for the kid trio. Iori sweep)
- The One Within the Villainess [manga] (Honestly, I thought this was yuri but I saw spoilers and learned they're going for family so. All right)
- The Way of the Househusband [manga]
- Undead Unluck [manga] (This manga started off so bad with all the objectification but at some point the mangaka was freed from the chains of editors or something because the female objectification dropped to 0 and the protag had such an incredible power-up arc that it's blinding. Most 180 I've ever seen in a manga regarding the treatment of women. SOMEHOW Fuuko gets to do more shit than any girl character in 99% of Shounen manga.)
